This October, Fort Hill Players is proud to present

Fame, like honey, may taste sweet but it can also be a sticky, enveloping mess. In this delicious souffle’ of a satirical comedy about the pitfalls of the unquenchable thirst for fame, Evan Wyler, a young writer on the brink of critical success gets caught up in a lifestyle that blurs the line between fantasy and reality.  Faced with the prospect of fame and fortune, he falls under the spell of Alexa, a brilliant scheming promoter, discovers he’s been defrauded to the tune of twenty thousand dollars, and concocts a scheme of his own to get revenge.

Timely and thought provoking, “Bees” takes on the seduction of those who arrive in New York with a headful of starry ambitions fed by worshipful personality journalism and old movies.  A wryly confectionary, extremely entertaining fable for an age that always chooses image over substance. Extremely entertaining. – New York Times.
