It’s naughty. It’s bawdy. It’s Steve Martin’s humor at his irreverent best. Oh, the sex, the lies, and the lingerie!  It’s 1910. Louise Maske, a pretty, young, German housewife becomes an instant celebrity after her underpants accidentally fall down while she is watching a full dress parade of the king.  Half the town is crazed with lust. Soon, men are lining up to live with the lady and her boorish husband, hoping for another glimpse of those famous, feminine unmentionables. Upstairs neighbor, Gertrude, cleverly fuels the frenzy.  Don’t miss this cheery adaptation of Carl Sternheim’s Die Hose.
